WHO CAN APPLY FOR ISO 9001:2015 CERTIFICATION?
The ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System is applied for certification to all Organizations/Enterprises regardless of size, type of business, or manufacturing/trading/service sector.
From organizations/businesses with 1 employee to those with thousands or tens of thousands of employees; from individual business households/family businesses to private or state-owned companies, limited liability companies or joint-stock companies; from educational institutions, schools, hospitals, government agencies to factories and enterprises … all can apply the ISO 9001:2015 quality management system.
WHAT IS THE VALIDITY PERIOD OF THE ISO 9001:2015 CERTIFICATE?
The ISO 9001:2015 certificate normally has a validity period of 3 years from the date of issuance. After the ISO 9001:2015 certificate expires, the organization needs to conduct a Recertification audit to be issued a new certificate extended for the next 3 years.
AFTER BEING GRANTED ISO 9001:2015 CERTIFICATION, IS THE ORGANIZATION REQUIRED TO CONDUCT ANNUAL SURVEILLANCE AUDITS?
After being granted an ISO 9001:2015 certificate with a validity of 3 years, the organization is required to conduct periodic annual surveillance audits (once every 12 months) according to the requirements of the accreditation body.
In case the organization does not conduct the annual surveillance audit when it is due, the ISO 9001:2015 certificate will be withdrawn in accordance with regulations.

HOW MUCH DOES ISO 9001 CERTIFICATION COST?
Before deciding to obtain ISO 9001 certification, businesses often wonder how much ISO 9001 certification currently costs. The audit and ISO 9001 certification fees of ISO certification bodies are usually based on the following factors:
✔️ Company/household business/private enterprise size (including number of departments, number of employees, etc.)
✔️ Manufacturing, trading, and service sector (depending on the complexity of the certified product scope and whether the risk level is high, medium, or low)
✔️ Certification location (including how many sites)
✔️ Maturity level of the quality management system
The enterprise will pay certification fees covering 3 years:
- Year 1: ISO 9001 audit and certification issuance fee
- Year 2: ISO 9001 first periodic surveillance audit fee
- Year 3: ISO 9001 second periodic surveillance audit fee
To reduce payment pressure for customers, normally the audit fees at our certification body KMR will be paid annually: the fee of each year will be paid at that year’s audit time. However, customers may also choose to make a one-time payment for 3 years in order to enjoy preferential discount policies.
